Our Lady of Mercy College Heidelberg (Stages 5 & 6) Redevelopment
Representing a major investment by Mercy Education Ltd Stages 5 & 6 of the Our Lady of Mercy College (OLMC) Heidelberg is part of the staged implementation of its development masterplan.
This redevelopment provides students with state-of-the-art educational facilities. It will deliver improved circulation and wayfinding through the campus and includes new areas of open space. The project involves construction of the Design Arts & Technology (DAT) building and upgrade of the student café and senior classroom block. Works being carried out include demolition of the existing arts building; construction of a new three storey DAT facility plus basement, and construction of a new two storey café/ classroom facility with interconnecting covered walkways to the new DAT facility and the existing Yarra Building.
Ontoit was appointed to provide superintendent services and end-to end project management services during the demolition, construction, and final delivery phases of the project. Ontoit is responsible for the management of the multi-disciplinary design teams, procurement advisory, management and engagement of the construction contractor.
The DAT building was completed in early 2020, with the balance of the works scheduled for completion in January 2021.
