Frankston Metropolitan Activity Centre – Traffic Model Development
Ontoit carried out modelling for the Frankston Metropolitan Activity Centre (FMAC) using the Frankston Mesoscopic Model developed from a subarea of the Domino model.
As part of this work, Ontoit enhanced the model to reflect present day and also upgraded its structure. We then developed forecast models and undertook scenario testing of various land use, transport and parking network considerations for the municipality.
Frankston Council is now planning to update the Structure Plan for the FMAC. The Ontoit model will be a key input and analytical tool that will guide the development of the Structure Plan and the required traffic operational arrangements at key intersections and movement corridors across the FMAC.
