Springvale Mine & Mount Piper Power Station

Springvale Joint Venture and Energy Australia appointed Veolia Water Australia (VWA) under a Design, Build, Own, Operate and Transfer Contract, with stringent EPA requirements to develop, operate and maintain the water pipeline and the WTP, for a 15-year period.

By mid 2018, the Independent Certifier identified that the works under the contract were behind schedule and over budget.

Following delivery of a Cure Plan in August 2018, VWA engaged Ontoit to lead and deliver a Project Recovery Plan and to assemble a specialist team to manage the project recovery within a constrained program.

Ontoit was engaged to lead the project recovery process. Our role entailed delivering a Project Recovery Plan and assembling a specialist team to manage the project recovery within a challenging and constrained program.
