Richmond Station Precinct Redevelopment

Richmond Station is specifically recognised in the State Planning Policy Framework as a major redevelopment opportunity.

A mixed-use development of multi-storey residential apartments with podium level retail, new train station and car parking was deemed as the most appropriate use for this site.  The site is well-serviced by public transport, employment and community services, supporting the development of higher density housing, to make better use of the existing infrastructure.

Ontoit was engaged to provide the scoping, feasibility assessment and business case for the redevelopment of Richmond Station. Having obtained a release to participate on the private sector development side, Ontoit was the lead consultant formulating an unsolicited offer to Government for a station and whole of precinct redevelopment which included a development and delivery model that offered Government a return on its land and improved infrastructure.
