Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital
The complex, multi-staged redevelopment is a combination of a new build and refurbishment to existing facilities, being delivered whilst the remainder of the hospital remains fully operational.
The redeveloped hospital will have 8 operating rooms and 14 recovery spaces, 37 same-day beds/chairs and 24 overnight stay inpatient beds, a 13-cubicle new emergency department, 42 multi-functional and flexible outpatient consulting rooms. Improved teaching, training, and research facilities have been consolidated in the upper levels of the building and a full upgrade of the hospitals engineering infrastructure and central plant has been incorporated. Construction of new connecting link bridges provides 5 fully-integrated and future-proofed floors.
