Whitten Oval Upgrade

In April 2018 the Victorian Government announced that $5 million would be awarded to the Club for enhancement of game-day facilities for AFLW competitions with the intention of securing VU Whitten Oval as one of two premier broadcast venues for AFLW.

The VU Whitten Oval precinct is the traditional heart of the Western Bulldogs Football Club. The Club is a pillar of the community in Melbourne’s Western suburbs and is a leading competitor in both the men’s and women’s competitions of the Australian Football League (AFL).

The upgrade works involved fitting out the existing grandstand building with state-of-the-art change-room facilities for AFLW players and installing a new scoreboard. Ontoit has provided project management services through the design and delivery phases of the project.
